New version of MStab released (Oct 2004)

Version 9.8 of MStab is now available. This new updated version contains 2 new modules:

• Reliability module
• Bishop Probabilistic Random Field

With these 2 new modules, MStab has become the first commercial software package to incorporate practical reliability analysis, according to standards like the EuroCode7. Reliability analysis shows how variations in strength and water loads affect the factor of safety. One can easily switch between a partial factors concept and a probabilistic analysis. December 2003: Integral service for soil surveys abroad
In October 2003, the initial impetus was given to a more extensive provision of services abroad for soil surveys with soundings. A.P. van den Berg and knowledge institute GeoDelft, long renowned in the field of interpreting and applying sounding results, have combined forces to provide the optimum service to both existing and new foreign customers through an integral set of products and services. The joint venture is mainly aimed at foreign (growth) markets in which, due to the relative unfamiliarity with the static sounding method, there is a need for a total package of equipment as well as interpretation of the sounding results. A.P. van den Berg will focus on sounding materials and equipment in the broadest sense, while GeoDelft will offer products and services for interpreting and calculating the soil data obtained with the sounding equipment, including Delft GeoSystems software, training and advisory services. The foreign customers themselves will make the soundings.
